Our Colorado Chapter — the adventure decade

Our Colorado chapter is coming to an end…

Drew is moving to Georgia (thanks Army) and I’ll be here in Colorado Springs for another 6 months. Distance is the worst, but not something we haven’t done before. We wanted to take family photos before the snow melted on Pikes Peak. I’m so in love with my little family and this beautiful place. Lady, as always, was the star of the show.

Reflecting on our time here, Drew and I have grown so much - individually and as a couple. We bought a house, got engaged, celebrated our wedding (during COVID), brought home our puppy, experienced the loss of loved ones, leaned on each other, laughed, cooked, skied a ton, and made the most of every moment. There are so many little moments I’ll miss. Sitting on our porch in the morning, drinking coffee, and looking at the mountains. Going on walks around the neighborhood with Lady. Walking to Jives for Saturday morning coffee. The restaurants in OCC (Sopra and TAPAteria are magical). Sitting on the couch with Lady all curled up. Parties down the street at #SwanPark. Bike rides through the Old North End. Driving to the mountains and ski weekends. I can’t believe how amazing it is here and we always talk about moving back. It’s not going to be the same without Drew and Lady, but I’m grateful to be somewhere I love for the rest of the year. Cheers to precious memories!
