Paris, France

Paris, France

Spring is here, and Paris is always a good idea
(or so I’ve heard)…

This past Memorial Day weekend, Monica, Drew, Ladybug and I spent the weekend in beautiful Paris. I think we hit the weather and timing just right because it was warm and pleasant but not yet bombarded with summer tourists. We had a busy 3 days, but still managed a daily nap and relaxed meals. This was one of the best trips we took all year and the first as the “thrup.” It’s so fun to travel with my husband and sister, and even more fun that they’re genuinely such good friends (except I don’t love when they gang up on me, which is a lot…) Here is what we did:

3 days in Paris Itinerary 📍

Day 1:

- get lunch/charcuterie foods at La Grande Épicerie de Paris (the most beautiful grocery store of all time)

- walk to the Eiffel Tower, have a picnic lunch with your fresh groceries (remember a blanket!)

- walk around Trocadero for Eiffel views

- walk along the Champs-Élysées and see the Arc de Triomphe

- casual dinner: Aux Cocottes

- evening Eiffel views/pretty buildings: Av. de Camoens

Day 2:

- breakfast: Café de Flore. It’s definitely a tourist hot spot but the food (omelets especially) and chocolate lava was soooooo good!

- Louvre Museum. Only do 1-2 exhibits so you don’t get overwhelmed, we spent about 3 hours there and it was more than enough!

- coffee break: Le Carrousel

- Palais-Royal and garden

- fancier lunch: CoCo

- Notre Dame. You can’t go in because they are still renovating it from the fire, but it is a cool area

- dinner: Le Train Bleu. You need a reservation way in advance and can book online

- watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night

Day 3:

- morning: Versailles (book gardens AND castle tour online)

- afternoon: Jardin du Luxembourg

- Pont Alexandre III

- hang out in Montmarte (the hipster area)

- Moulin Rouge. We just walked by it but you can book tickets for a show!

- Dinner: Pink Mamma (book reservations online very early!)

- Sunset by Sacré-Cœur (amazing city views)

I absolutely LOVE Paris. I did not find it overrated at all and could’ve spent a whole week there checking out so many more amazing museums, shopping, and eating. We are hoping to get tickets to the 2024 Summer Olympics just to have an excuse to come back. Or maybe I can snag Taylor Swift Era Tour tickets here, imagine how epic!!! Paris is always a good idea!
