Park City

Park City

Skiing is magic…

I grew up in the northeast and the snow out west has truly changed the game for me. This season (‘19-’20) I splurged on the Epic and Ikon passes and made the goal to go skiing at least 3 times a month. From the beginning, Park City was at the top of the list. And let me tell you…it will stay there. Here’s a few reasons why:

Park City - The Adventure Decade
  1. Distance from the airport. In under 45 minutes, you can leave the Salt Lake City Airport and be in Park City. You know how much I adore Colorado skiing, but it takes 2-3 hours from the Denver Airport to get to the big resorts (unless you take a pricey hopper flight or have a private jet). Just can’t beat that short trip to Park City, especially after a long flight.

  2. Different Base Villages. Have you been to Breckenridge? As much as I love it, the village, parking scene, and base of the gondolas are all in the same place.

  3. Variety of Skiing. There are so many different areas a level of skiing. Park City bought The Canyons several years ago when it became part of Vail Resorts which offers even more options, connected to the main resort via gondola. We loved skiing The Canyons and seeing all the incredible ski houses.

4. Options outside the Ski Village. Since Park City is so close to Salt Lake, you are not limited to the ski village scene for food, drinks, shopping, or other things to do.

Well there you have it! Park City has won my heart and I can’t wait to be back. Pretty bummed that ski season was cut short (thanks COVID) and am already counting down the days until next winter.
